BUILDING A PARTNERSHIP

INITIATION
Hitec Laboratories Ltd develops industry-leading Electronic Document & Content Management (e-DM) solutions, enabling companies to spend less resource managing documentation, both on day-to-day business operations and on secure storage and retrieval options. Following a study of available Business Process Technologies Hitec chose the Singularity Process PlatformT to meet the rising demand from its customers and prospects for process management and workflow.

QUALIFICATION
In Singularity, Hitec found a partner who combined award-winning technical innovation with industry savvy and a wealth of experience. The Singularity Process Platform's flexible service-oriented architecture (SOA) not only made integration with the DataStore32 product suite straightforward and fast but also offered a level of adaptability and flexibility that Hitec recognised would be valuable in future customer implementations. The Platform offers control, flexibility, workflow and metrics - all essential e-DM market differentiators. In addition, Singularity was evidently experienced in partnering with other technology vendors and the partnership progressed smoothly.

FUELING GROWTH

SEAMLESS INTEGRATION
Jeremy Crame, Hitec Laboratories Managing Director, was already impressed with the breadth and depth of functionality the Singularity Process Platform offered, but it was the speed and ease with which the Platform was embedded into Hitec's DataStore32® products that impressed him and his team most, in particular when compared with the performance of other process technology vendors. Successful integration across multiple systems is a distinguishing feature of the Singularity Process Platform, and in this partnership proved a key enabler, giving Hitec the capability to pursue new market opportunities earlier than expected.

SALES SUPPORT IN NEW MARKETS
Singularity provided critical support and education to launch the partnership and to open new sales channels. Hitec was quickly in a position to offer enhanced solutions to existing customers and to go to market with new solutions for a new customer set. The NEC in Birmingham, Standard Chartered Bank, Principality, and Bridgestone all signed up for Singularity Process Platform-enhanced DataStore32® solutions. As part of the ongoing partnership, Singularity helps Hitec optimise opportunities in global markets and provides bespoke education and consulting support during the pre-sales phases of large, new-revenue opportunities.

CHALLENGE

The NEC Group manages the busiest event centre in Europe attracting more than 4 million visitors a year to almost 200 events across its prestigious venues:

• Symphony Hall Birmingham.

Paperwork at the NEC Group had increased substantially and was taking valuable resource away from core activities such as ensuring the smooth running of events as diverse as Crufts Dog Show and performances of the Birmingham Symphony Orchestra. Administration overheads increased and the ongoing need to comply with statutory regulations on secure data storage put further pressure on existing processes and systems.
